Tandia joined Summerset from a hospitality recruitment agency. She had worked everywhere from cafes to events and restaurants, but after working at Summerset as a Temp she asked her manager to only give her jobs here from now on because she loved it so much! “Luckily enough, one day I got a call from my manager at the time and was offered a full-time permanent position”.
Tandia started as a Kitchen Assistant for her first two years at Summerset, doing her first aid training, health and safety qualifications and full chemical training with Ecolab. Near the end of the second year, Tandia was offered a Cook position and to take a Chef apprenticeship for level 4 Cookery. “I’m almost three years in now and will qualify by the end of this year, to become a Chef at Summerset St Johns village”.
