Caring for her Nan is what sparked Lagi to pursue a caregiving career. "I thought, 'I have to do this as a career."

Lagi has been a caregiver at Summerset at Aotea for nearly seven years.

I enjoy caregiving, it comes naturally to me - especially care for the elderly. It's something I have a passion for, and it's rewarding to know you're providing the best care for someone.

Lagi's favourite part of her job is spending one-on-one time with residents and joining in with group activities.

Being able to reach out and help people who need it in some way is great. I love being in this industry because I genuinely care.
