Grant Torrance started as a Project Manager in 2018 and has supported the delivery of multiple villages across the Summerset portfolio. While Grant was passionate about being a Project Manager, he had a particular interest in quality assurance, and this led to a change in role to become our first Quality Assurance Manager (National).

We didn’t really have a consistent quality plan across our sites, so I really wanted to get involved in helping build this plan. In this role, I get to travel across the country and identify gaps and learning opportunities for our site teams. It’s great to see the ‘light-bulb’ moments where people understand what we are trying to achieve, and you get to see the progress made.” In his role, Grant works with a range of different stakeholders across Summerset and he enjoys the challenges this brings.

The rate of growth at Summerset and the number of new people we have starting was a big surprise. We have a lot of passionate people joining Summerset and I get to work with people across different levels of the business, from our construction cadets through to our Senior Leadership team.
